- Arranging for
- Cleaning or gardening
- Jobs around the house
- General companionship
- Getting out for walks or a coffee
- Shopping, errands
- Phone support
- Help finding other support services.
Anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis faces many challenges, and everything gets harder when you don’t have the support you need. Research shows that a person with cancer who is well supported and has their needs addressed will have a higher quality of life and better health outcomes.
As a CanCare volunteer you can either help with the occasional job or errand, or stay in touch, offering support and companionship.
A little help can go a long way.
Whether it’s just an occasional job, like transport to hospital or picking up some shopping, your support can make such a big difference to someone in need.
