About Us

The Prostate & Breast Cancer Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for people with cancer. While prostate or breast cancer are the two most common invasive cancers, in Australia they are fortunately the most survivable.

Our Priorities are to those:

  • Geographically or socially isolated or alone;

  • In financial disadvantage or unable to afford care; and

  • Culturally and linguistically diverse, or recently arrived.

Our Statement of Values:

  • Compassion: Building empathy and understanding for those most in need, recognising social and economic disparities and the social-determinants of health;

  • Wholistic: Delivering measured, transparent patient-centred (PRO) outcomes, to support personal growth and empowerment;

  • Integrity: Working with transparency, accountability and evidence-based practice.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines health as:

“A state of physical, emotional and psychological well-being”
